This autumn Rabbi James Baaden returns with a series of lively and informative talks exploring “Jewish Tunes—Jews and Musicals”. During the course of this series Rabbi Baaden will examine the suggestion that the musical is a uniquely Jewish form of popular music. In this series, we will learn about some of the composers in depth and enjoy the genius of their achievements. Some of the musicals actually focus on Jewish characters, others contain material that was of major interest to Jews: such as prejudice and equality, and the Messianic vision of a better world.
