DAYS OF AWE 5778/2017

לשנה טובה תכתבו

 L’Shana Tovah Tikatevu

May we all be inscribed in the Book of Life for a good and peaceful year

The Council, Rabbis, professional staff and volunteers at Sha’arei Tsedek  wish you and your loved ones a שנה טובה תכתבו and a meaningful Yom Kippur.

We look forward to welcoming you to Sha’arei Tsedek North London Reform Synagogue during the Days of Awe.

Full details about the Days of Awe from Selichot through to Simchat Torah can be found here and in our Days of Awe Information Guide. As usual we will have a variety of services offer whether for families with children in year six or under, discussion groups for teenagers, alternative-style services or spaces for quiet reflection.

We are delighted this year to welcome a number of guests, some familiar and some new including Rabbi Professor Tony Bayfield CBE, Rabbi Colin Eimer, our Emeritus Rabbi, Rabbi Jeffery Newman, Emeritus Rabbi of Finchley Reform Synagogue, Rabbi Professor Michael Shire, Dean of the Shoolman Graduate School of Jewish Education, Hebrew College, Boston MA and Rabbi Benji Stanley, Rabbi for Young Adults, Reform Judaism.

Once again we will be holding our Shabbat Shuvah Chavruta Study Day, on 23 September this year on the theme of Tsedakah.  Our service will be led by Guest Leader Rabbi Dr Michael Shire.  Our Discussion Group will be facilitated by Rabbi Dr Michael Shire, Frankie Stubbs, Rabbi Baaden, Rabbi Levitt, Charley Katan and the youth of our community.

We will be holding Meditation sessions on the afternoon of Yom Kippur.

Our community Rabbis, James Baaden and Judith Levitt, together with our lay leaders, should provide us with thought provoking sermons, witty commentary, spiritual guidance and support over this period.

It would be appreciated if you would help our security team by carrying the ticket issued to you personally at all times. Please show it when requested, as this will make your access to the site faster.
