There is a core teaching team including professional Jewish educators and the rabbis of Sha’arei Tsedek. The classes are a warm environment with lots of discussion and laughter.

It is a rolling curriculum open for newcomers to join at any stage or for members of the community to drop in for the topics which interest them.

Many members of the class are people studying for conversion and their partners.

Sha’arei Tsedek offers a conversion programme through the Reform Beit Din. It is usually an 18 month period of study (but takes different lengths of time for people depending on their personal circumstances and prior knowledge).

Those studying for conversion are required to meet with one of our rabbis to have a chat and register for the programme before beginning classes.

All members of the community are welcome to attend, either weekly or just for a one-off session, to brush up on their Judaism. The classes take place on a Wednesdays 6.30 pm - 8.00 pm.
